Carrie Underwood Cover by Nashville Spin

Carrie Underwood; Jesus, Take The Mic.

As Carrie Underwood reflects on her life—the global stages, the quiet farm mornings, the moments of heartbreak and the miracles that followed—she sees more than milestones. She sees God’s hand.

“Looking back, I can see how every single step—even the painful ones—led me to something beautiful. God has never left my side,” she shared in a recent interview. “Even when I didn’t understand what He was doing, He was working.”

Motherhood, perhaps more than anything, has opened her eyes to the depth of God’s love and provision. Raising her two boys, Isaiah and Jacob, in the peaceful rhythms of farm life has grounded her more than any accolade ever could. She often says her greatest joy isn’t found in spotlights or awards—it’s in bedtime prayers, muddy boots on the porch, and little hands in hers.

“Being a mom is the most humbling and rewarding thing I’ve ever done. It teaches me patience, grace, and reminds me daily how much I need Jesus.”

Carrie is the first to admit that her path hasn’t always been easy. There have been detours, disappointments, and valleys. But through it all, she’s remained anchored to the faith that began in a small Oklahoma church and has carried her through global fame and personal trial alike.

“There are moments when I stop and think, ‘How did I get here?’ And the only answer I have is God. He’s given me this voice, this platform, this family—not because I deserve it, but because He is good.”

Whether she’s on stage singing “Something in the Water,” tending tomato plants with her boys, or opening her Bible in the stillness of morning, Carrie carries one truth with her above all: this life, this purpose—it’s all His.

“I just want to live in a way that points people to Jesus,” she says. “That’s what matters most.”
